In today's post, I thought I'd share links to some of my favourite online resources for French teachers. Bonne chance!

FSL Teaching Resources:

  • Charts in France - Students can listen to the top songs in France.
  • frenchteacher.net - Has a large collection of online French teaching resources.
  • Vikidia - A simplified French version of Wikipedia.
  • Tennessee Bob's Famous French Links - Find links to French literature, radio, newspaper and tourism sites.
  • Familiscope - An online French newspaper for students. 
  • WWW Resources for French as a Second Language Learning - Provides links to French television and radio stations.
  • Crickweb - A selection of free online French resources and games. 
  • Zut! - Offers online French reading, writing and listening exercises for a list of topics.
  • Edutickers - Offers a selection of French Karaoke songs. 
  • Casa de Joanna - Provides teachers with links to French language websites and other resources.
  • Talk French BBC - Provides a video introduction to French.
  • fslactvities.ca - Find a selection of French activities, printouts, links and games. 
  • iSLCollective - A site where French teachers post self-made language teaching materials for sharing.  

Tools for FSL Teachers:

  • Discovery Education - FSL teachers can create a variety of different puzzles including word searches, double puzzles and fallen phrases.
  • RubiStar - Allows French teachers to create their own rubrics.
  • BigHugeLabs - Create motivational posters for your FSL classroom.
  • glowtxt.com - A site that provides a selection of unique fonts.
  • TEFL.net - Lets teachers design, print and copy their own worksheets.
  • School Clip Art - Has a large selection of clip art images.
  • Testmoz - A free test generator site that supports 4 different types of questions and offers automatic grading. 
  • Animoto - Create engaging French learning videos for your students.
  • Smore - A site that allows educators to make online flyers. 
  • Education World - Find templates for calendars, newsletters, assessments, award certificates, posters and more.
  • Quia - Create your own French games, or use an existing one from their list of activities.
  • Sen Teacher - Create certificates quickly and easily for your students. 
  • CCFS - Tells you how to make French accent marks on a PC or a Mac.
  • Classroom Clipart - Offers a variety of clipart, clip art pictures and illustrations to choose from.
  • www.micetf.fr - Offers French games and allows teachers to create their own. 

Tools for Integrating French into Your Classroom:

  • MakeBeliefsComix.com - Allows students to create and print their own comic strips in French.
  • Poisson Rouge - A selection of online French games and activities for all levels of learners. 
  • Blogger - Start a class blog for your students.
  • Post Crossing - Students can send and receive a postcards in French.
  • JeopardyLabs - Teachers can create a customized jeopardy template without PowerPoint. 
  • BigHugeLabs - Allows students to create their own posters and magazine covers using digital photos.
